Anaitha Nair is an Indian born film and theatre actor whose debut film “Chak De India” took the Hindi Film Industry by storm in the year 2007, starring global superstar ShahRukh Khan. A film for which she won the Star Screen Award for Best Supporting Actor. She began her acting career, at the age of 15 in the theatre production "Whose Life is It Anyway" and continued to work in several productions including musicals such as My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music and Fiddler on the Roof. She has worked with the biggest filmmakers in the Hindi Film Industry such as Shyam Benegal, Abbas Tyrewalla, Nagesh Kukunoor, Rohan Sippy, Nishikant Kamat and Vipul Shah. Versatile and a complete natural, she has an on screen presence like none other.
Also a singer, her band S5’s debut album “Isai” was launched by Oscar winning Music Director A.R. Rahman in September 2005, with their Tamil single ‘Malaray’ becoming an instant hit. A voice over and radio jingle artist, she has several radio spots to her credit. A professional host, she has hosted more than 200 live events and has featured as a model in several commercials in India with the biggest brands like Cadburys, Acer, Dove, Sprite, Nescafe and Virgin Mobile.
